A FREE Community Awareness Session

A free community awareness session about researching the history of your house was presented by the Ipswich Library & Information Service on Tuesday, 29 August 2006. The session was held in conjunction with Ipswich City Council Planning & Development Department.

Topics covered in the seminar included:

• Getting started
• Finding the right resources to use
• Using the free Heritage Adviser Service, Ipswich City Council
• Tips on how to write the history of your home

As a companion to the seminar, the Ipswich Library & Information Service has compiled a package of fact sheets, reading lists (available to attendees at the seminar), and Web sites.
