On Tuesday 20 April 2004 a Community Awareness Session was held at the Redbank Plains Library entitled, Breathe Easy: Helping people breathe better. The session conducted by the Asthma Foundation of Queensland and was was aimed at providing participants with the latest in asthma management information.

Topics covered included:

• What is asthma: Its triggers
• Medication and delivery methods
• 3 + Visit Plan and asthma action plan
• First Aid

As a companion to the seminar, the Ipswich Library and Information Service has compiled a package of fact sheets, reading lists (available to attendees at the seminar), articles and Web sites.
